The Hotel Mar de Cortez, in downtown Cabo, has a great rate for those of you
looking to escape the resort scene. The 90-room colonial-style hotel has a
swimming pool and a restaurant — it was one of the original hotels when Cabo
San Lucas was a sleepy fishing village. Now, the hotel is near upscale
shops, as well as the beach and marina. Rates start at $50 per room per

The Costa Club Punta Arena Hotel is offering a great all-inclusive rate now
through mid-April. For $120 per room per night, you receive accommodations,
three meals a day (á la carte or buffet-style), unlimited snacks and

city tour, and free entrance to discos in Puerto Vallarta, about five

riding, and dance classes, plus there's nightly entertainment and a kids'
club. The Allegro Nuevo Vallarta is on the Banderas Bay and about 25 minutes
